Most frequently asked questions about CIPS, Procurement Apprenticeships, and Life

Everything you need to know about CIPS, Procurement Apprenticeships, and more

We know that starting study can be daunting, so we’ve covered all of the burning questions we can think of right here.

What CIPS study options do you have?

We have loads of different options, so there’s something that works for everyone.

Day Course: study online, in person, or in company during the day with timetabled sessions.

Evening Course: online study in 1.5 hour sessions, designed to work around your schedule.

Personal Bespoke Tutoring: study when you want, with our completed bespoke option.

Which CIPS level should I start with?

Your starting point depends on your experience, and how confident you feel:
CIPS Level 3: If you’re new to business or procurement this is a great starting point. Also if you’re unsure about exams, or you’ve been out of study for a while, this option only has 5 exams and they’re all multichoice.
CIPS Level 4: If you’ve been in procurement for more than a year, or you’re a university graduate, and you’re comfortable with exams, this is the starting point for you. There’s 6 multichoice and 2 essay exams.

When and how can I enrol for CIPS training with ABA?

We don’t do enrolment periods, because life doesn’t work like that. We operate rolling timetables so as soon as you’re ready to start we can get you straight on to the next module.

All you need to do is drop us an email, we’ll send you an enrolment form and book in a time for an induction, and you can get studying right away.

Do you offer procurement apprenticeships with CIPS accreditation?

Yep! We offer all 3 levels with full government levy funding.

Level 3 Procurement and Supply Assistant
Level 4 Procurement and Supply Chain Practitioner
Level 6 Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Professional

How flexible is CIPS study?

With ABA your study is completely flexible (so flexible we frequently give ourselves headaches making sure it works for every student). If you need something, tell us, and as long as its within our power to make it happen we will.

Can I change study options if I need to.

Of course! We know you have life outside of study, so if things change we’ll roll with the punches. Just talk to us about what you need and we’re here to help.

How long do I have to complete the CIPS course?

You have as long as it takes. We don’t put time limits on your study with us. Once you’re an ABA student, you’re with us for as long as you need.

How do I join a course?

Just hit up the contact form, and we’ll take it from there.

What are the benefits of studying CIPS?

Earning a CIPS qualification can propel your procurement career forward, looks great on your CV, and will make you better in your role. CIPS is the leading professional body for procurement and supply, recognised worldwide.

What are the benefits of achieving MCIPS status?
